Melaleuca Versus Amway: Who Would Win This Virtual Brawl?
If you’re reading this blog, you probably already have a pre-conceived answer as to why Melaleuca is superior to Amway or vice versa. That’s the funny thing about Google and the internet; if you’ve already made up your mind about something, it’s unlikely I can change your mind.
For example, if you were to Google “network marketing” because you are afraid that if you become a Melaleuca distributor, it will be the first step towards involvement in a massive quicksand pyramid scheme, then chances are no matter what I wrote you’d never believe me.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for a pure comparison between the pushy, old school Amway-style “network marketing”, and what network marketing should be, you’ve come to the right place.
The difference is in the philosophy of the company and the Melaleuca CEO Frank Vandersloot. Compare these two quotes:
“This is not a get-rich-quick scheme,”
to
“He owns his own business. It’s part of the estate that he’ll pass on to his children. It includes a network of thousands that produces an income whether he’s dead or alive. That drives his motivation to succeed.”
Which quote do you think comes from Richard DeVos, the co-founder of Amway, and which one do you think comes from Frank Vandersloot, the CEO of Melaleuca?
Successful network marketers don’t need to alienate their friends and families or approach strangers (which doesn’t work anyway). They can utilize the tools at hand, such as educational marketing, direct response marketing and internet marketing, to develop a strong strategy for helping the best potentials find them.
By downloading and reading“The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing,” (available for free at the top of my blog) you’ll find out more about the difference between the old, worn-out, traditional mlm strategies and the new, cutting-edge, successful mlm strategies.
