Melaleuca Marketing Requires Honesty And Respect!
We all know that old “myth” of the slimy used-car salesman. It’s one of those ideas that stuck like glue to the “pre-loved vehicle” industry for decades. Unfortunately some Melaleuca marketing executives have developed a similar reputation.
The average person pictures a network marketer as the sort of annoying 60’s-era carnival callers who prey on their families, friends, and flat-out strangers, practically begging for business.
“Step right up… step right up… special offer for Aunt Martha: Buy a bottle of the amazing, magnificent, fabulous, miracle Melaleuca renew lotion!”
No wonder the industry is known for dishonesty, fraud, pyramid schemes; the list goes on and on. Conventional Melaleuca marketing techniques, utilized by distributors like you, can change all this.
We need to set the record straight.
Melaleuca reps aren’t interested in selling products; we want to sell solutions to real world problems. It’s no longer about sell-sell-sell and get out. You’ve got to develop long-term relationships, and cultivate them like it’s a fine art, because it is.
Learning how to treat others with respect is the #1 most important thing to do in network marketing. Don’t look at a prospect like he or she is a cow whose milk you’ll get commission on if you can only sign her up for your special grain plan.
The way you treat people with respect, and let them know that you respect them, is by being honest with them. Always tell them the truth, and always give them a little more information than they asked for.
Make yourself the expert; over deliver material and knock their socks off. When they’ve got a question about Melaleuca oil then you’ll be the one they come running to. That’s how you cultivate solid relationships with people; through mutual honesty and respect.
