Melaleuca Marketing: Copywriting Isn’t Dead, It Should Be Your Top Priority!
A friend of Bob Bly’s recently suggested on his blog that copywriting, “the one million dollar skill” may be fading into the sunset! She thinks with the growth of video sites like You Tube as well as content blogs that there’s no longer the need for real “copy.”
I couldn’t disagree with her more!
Effective copywriting should STILL be the foundation of your Melaleuca marketing campaigns! If you’re a wellness representative who hasn’t invested serious time into learning how to write “words that sell” then don’t wonder why you’re not moving any Melaleuca soap, shampoo, or any of the Melaleuca home products!
Sales letters, emails to your customers and Melaleuca leads, PPC advertising ads. All of them still need to be written by a copywriter, whether it’s yourself or someone you hire.
Take a look at a few of my headlines I use on my own blog. Did the “Melaleuca Success Secrets UNCENSORED!” headline grab your attention? I sure hope it did, and hopefully it caused you to read the rest of what I wrote in that little box! (By the way, I’m no world- class, professional copywriter either…not even close:)
See, the headline of your ad must sell the reader on reading the sub-head, and your sub-head, should sell the next sentence, and so on and so forth. If done right this creates a “slippery slide” for your Melaleuca lead.
