The FREE report uncovers...

  • A proven and very powerful, (yet never talked-about) prospecting method that will have potential personal enrollees asking you about joining your Melaleuca organization instead of the other way around.
  • The one, simple reason why the Melaleuca products (Renew lotion, Envia shampoo, Nicole Miller cosmetics) will never "sell themselves," despite what your upline is telling you.
  • Why selling to your friends, family, and "warm-market" to accrue product points is NOT a realistic, long-term, explosive business building method.

How To Fail At Prospecting With Your Melaleuca Home Based Business

Melaleuca Home Based BusinessWhat’s the one thing on earth that you can never get more of?

The simple answer is of course, time. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, there’s nothing you can do to get it back. In my mind, this fact alone, makes time the most precious, valuable resource available to any business owner.

It’s even more valuable than money itself, because if you run out of money, there are ways to accumulate more.

Me simply telling you to “spend your time wisely” when building your Melaleuca home based business is a massive understatement.

Every single day, you must be spending your time on things that yield the highest rate of return with your business.

Think of it like this. When an investor puts money into an investment, he’s seeking the highest possible rate of return. Obviously there are different risk levels involved with every investment opportunity, but the point is this. They’re seeking the most from what they’re putting in. Which is the same mindset you should have when spending time on your Melaleuca home based business.

So where shouldn’t your time be spent? One specific area comes to mind, and many Melaleuca distributors are guilty of flushing time down this particular toilet.

Cold-calling.

You should never spend any time cold-calling prospects! I wasted tons of time doing this, and you probably are to. We’re talking hundreds and hundreds of hours! Boy, do I wish I could have all those seconds and minutes back.

I don’t care what your sponsor or upline is telling you to do. Cold-calling isn’t a good use of your time…why?

Because it doesn’t work!

Let me re-phrase. Sometimes it works, but that percentage is so low, that you wouldn’t want to be spending (wasting) your time on such a low-return business activity! So like I said before, it doesn’t work!

Did you know that less than one percent of cold-calls result in a qualified appointment?

Less than one percent! That right there should tell you it’s something you shouldn’t have anything to do with.

Even if you know the people you’re calling, (warm market or even referrals) it’s still an incredible waste and inefficient use of your time. Sure you might get an appointment booked by calling your aunt, pastor, or high school buddy. But remember, I said a “qualified” appointment. I hate to break it to you, but none of the people I just mentioned are interested in your business opportunity. How do I know this? Because they didn’t approach you about it, you approached them.

If you’ve experienced some success using this method of prospecting, that’s great! But you’re definitely in the minority. Massive organizations aren’t built using the phone to approach people about the Melaleuca home business.

One thing you probably hear over and over again is, “It’s all a numbers game, make enough calls, talk to enough people, and you’ll eventually stumble across a few good business builders.” Let me tell you folks, simply doing more of something that’s an inefficient use of time to begin with is pure insanity!

If you’re being taught to prospect like this, Melaleuca incorporated is basically telling you to dig the foundation of a house using nothing but a shovel. Just keep digging and digging, eventually you’ll get there.

What happens?

Like any sane person, you give up before even getting close to finishing. Your hands are blistered, your boots are worn out, you’re sunburned, and quite frankly, you don’t want to shovel anymore.

Remember, the most important thing you can do for your Melaleuca business is to spend your time on activities that yield the highest return…and shoveling isn’t one of them. You might be thinking to yourself, “Yeah, I’m definitely sick of shoveling, how do I get my hands on a bulldozer?”

Good marketing. Position yourself as a professional to your prospects. Go out of your way to offer “value” to them. Provide them with a valuable piece of advice for free. There are literally endless ways to give your prospects “value.” When done right, they’ll be attracted to you as a business superior, an expert in the industry, instead of an annoying, cold-calling, salesman.
