Don’t Propose To Your Melaleuca Company Prospect After The First Date!
Ok, so the fish can’t resist your bait. The incentive that you’re offering is too tantalizing and no one in their right mind can turn it down. Prospects and potential customers are giving you permission left and right to be contacted. Names, email addresses, physical addresses, and even phone numbers are being thrown at your feet, resulting in a massive pile of flaming hot Melaleuca leads for your Melaleuca home based business.
Now what do you do with them?
But before I answer that question, (which might be another post in itself) let me tell you what you absolutely cannot do with them. I’ve literally been dying to get this little piece of advice off my chest to you. Here goes.
You should never, ever abuse your prospect’s information. This is should I say, the golden rule of this marketing model. If you break it, you’re in trouble. You want your Melaleuca leads to stay flaming hot, so think of abuse as a bucket of ice-cold water.
How do you avoid using the bucket of ice-cold water?
For starters, you can’t pound your Melaleuca company prospects and potential customers relentlessly with sales pitch after sales pitch.
Yes, once you have their info, the goal is to sell them a Melaleuca product, or sponsor them into the wellness company. But on their timeline not yours!
That’d be like taking someone out on a first date, and then proposing to them before the night’s end. It’s way too early to think about that, right? (I know, some celebrities get married over the weekend like this, but we all know how they end up. Divorced.)
You have go out a 2nd and 3rd time, and a 14th and 15th time, get to know each other very well, and decide what color to paint the walls before finally popping the question.
And what happens when you mess things up on the 7th date and get dumped? The relationship ends and you’re back at square one. It’s very important that every date you go on, you’re on your best behavior and are always bending over backwards for the other person.
The same can be said for interactions with your prospects and potential customers. Each time you get in touch with them is another chance for you to impress them. Bend over backwards and over-deliver! (I know, I’ve said that before.) Educate them on your Melaleuca products, build a relationship, make it so they look forward to hearing from you. This is not done by repeatedly asking them to do something you want them to do.
Plain and simple!
Remember, your prospects and customers only care about one, little, two-letter word.
Me.
Not you.
They could care less about you. They care about themselves. So use their selfishness against them and keep giving them reasons to keep paying attention to you. Be really impressive, your stuffs gotta be good, remember?
Otherwise, you’re gonna get dumped.
